I read with interest the letter in the November 2009 edition of Podiatry Now, by David de Berker and Ivan Bristow.

They say, "At the same time, it is incumbent on all practitioners to be as confident as possible in the efficiacy and safety of any treatments offerred to patients."

At the SCP 2003 conference, a lady from the north west was saying how good low level laser was on VPs. Myself and another colleague heard her highly advocate this treatment modality. My colleague attended a low level laser course run at SCP HQ, in which this lady went through her recipe of success.

Apparently, it is ALLEDGED, "no one can replicate her results," was a comment that I heard 3 years later.

I only know of one practitioner that gets good results with laser on VP. Should SCP not be more careful before they have speakers at conferences singing the praises of a treatment modality, when only one practitioner seems to get miraculous results with it! Could it not be viewed that SCP are endorsing such a modality, if it is publically spoke of at a major conference!
