We are all partial to a Spoonerism now and then, but how's this for British Radio at its finest:

I didn't hear him actually do it but I heard him trying to keep it together and apologising for it for some considerable time afterwards.

Very funny. Radio 4 - not as tame as everyone thinks

So, you succeeded in weening yourself off radio 1 then. Told you, it happens to us all eventually ;)

Nah I'm still all about Chris Moyles. A more sophisticated work colleague told me about it

Old one from Billy Cotton - he played a record for a Sophie Tucker fan - at least that's what he wanted to say!

Also, not a spoonerism but hilarious all the same. Johnny Craddock, rather posh gopher for his wife, Fanny Craddock, one of the original TV cooks, who used to cook in an evening gown. She had made some doughnuts and Johnny stated that "I hope all your doughnuts turn out like fannies".
