    Hi All

I hope this becomes a good thread!

I'm interested in finding out where UK Podiatrists access Clinical Guidelines.

Obviously, if we're employed in the NHS we have 'Clinical Governance' or a PCT-led structure dictating a clinical effectiveness strategy.

We also have (whether private or NHS employed) government sponsored guidelines that we can access from NICE (in england) or SIGN (in scotland).

The benefits of NICE and SIGN is that the Clinical Guidelies are drawn from systematic reviews, peer reviewed, etc and of high quality evidence).

I just wondered if you access CG from any other sources?

Best regards for practice in 2011,

The Institute has its own clinical guidelines and minimum standards. The HPC has minimum standards. I assume that all professional bodies have similar.
