Hello all.

Just looking for some help/suggestions in regards to some international orthotic conferences. Are the ISPO World Congress events worthwhile from a foot orthotic manufacturing perspective? I notice there is one in India - Hyderabad Feb 2013. Also there is the Orthopic and Rehacare Canton in China March 2013.

Do you think these conferences would have a decent trade show in terms of manufacturing, technology orthotic material supplies and also from a medical supply perspective in regards to podiatry clinics?

Any help much appreciated.

The conference I would recommend is the PFOLA (Prescription Foot Orthotic Lab Association). I'm not sure when the next one is but, they're usually held in Vancouver Canada. The speaker are always first class and there's always an excellent trade show.

Last I heard the PFOLA conferences were no more...

 

Don't hold your breath for another PFOLA seminar. From what I heard, the last one didn't do well and there are no plans for another one in the near future. Too bad since PFOLA was my favorite seminar for many years.

 

That's a shame. I've attended three PFOLA conferences and enjoyed them all.

Anyone have any ideas on the conferences to go to in 2013 for manufacturing technologies, supplies, orthotics etc? Any good ones coming up?
