Which laser have you used with success for mycotic nails?

I've been reading the discussion on lasers being used to treat nail fungus and continue to find more and more claims of success with a wide variety of laser types and companies who offer them. Please reply to this thread every laser you've used that you feel is successful. Don't feel that you need to put a percentage behind how successful it is (unless you want to) but adding things like "moderately successful" or "highly/hardly successful" would be nice. I would very much like to hear anecdotal evidence of most every laser used. Where does the Pinpointe laser rank in comparison to the Tria laser, for example. I'm not looking for research based evidence at this point, just good 'ol "been working for me for years" evidence.

In the thread: Laser treatment for nail fungus, there was a lot of debate about the science (or more appropriate, the lack of the science)

The big beef I had was the youtube testimonials from podiatrists who had just purchased a device and were touting how good it was. How can they know it was any good if they just purchased?

 

Ya, I don't expect to find many people who have used more than one kind. If any laser has been used for some time with results, I'd like to hear it; even if it's just one laser. I read through the thread that you referred to and a few people have posted that they've been using lasers "for over 20 years" etc in some parts of the world, but very little information has been given on exact models. I would love to see some information on how poorly or how good some of these much cheaper lasers have worked.

 

I personally know more about cold lasers (just went thru hundreds of studies/ abstracts). However, hot lasers for fungus or any YAG Laser with a 1000 nanometer beam and as little 2 watts of power can be very effective on fungus. If you check out pubmed.gov (a government website with clinical studies) you can search laser or lllt toe nail fungus and read the studies. I will try to find you a direct link.
