Went to their website to see how the AI determined what insole to use. It appears the AI measures the ILA height (standing or sitting?) and then suggests the insole to use.

This makes no sense from a kinesiological point of view. If the AI is measuring the degree of arch collapse during open kinetic chain, one must determine the aetiology behind that collapse and treat it directly, not the symptom (arch collapse).

    Possible aetiologies:
    • Primus Metatarsus Supinatus foot deformity
    • PreClinical Clubfoot Deformity
    • Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome
    • Posterior Tibialis rupture

    Hi Brian,
the AI works correct. It's a brand new post Corona approach to determine the longitudinal arch semi loaded in an open kinematic chain. The goal behind the development was not to cure any aetiologies, but to help people find a better fit in their shoes due to our dynamic arch concept, that comes in three different arch heights and works with a totally new dynamic approach.
With this approach the brand has become the leading Insole in Running Speciality and Soccer in the USA and Germany.

    Understood.

The AI designed insole should not be used with the PCFD. It could be used with the RFS.

Again, emphasizing the importance of determining the cause of the symptoms before dispensing any type of orthotic. Unfortunately, many times this is not the case. Orthotics are commonly dispensed based on symptoms (e.g., abnormal pronation, joint pain etc) and not primary etiology (e.g., PCFD, RFS etc).
