    Hello All.

A charcot pt was talking about having a sore wrist a couple of years ago. Was x-rayed and diagnosed with osteoporosis. Was prescribed Ca+ tablets and it settled. Can you get Charcot in hands?

yes Charcot can occur in any joint;the common denominator is Neuropathy. So the patient does not necessarily have to have DM but any condition in which neuropathy is a complication.I remember reading that Charcot can also occur in the elbows and knees.

Any idea on if a person with chemo induced peripheral neuropathy (hands and feet) can graduate into CMT?

Do you mean Charcot arthropathy or Charcot-Marie-Tooth? Two very different beasts.

    Cheers,
    Bel
