Hi every one!
im pod student,, 2and year in stockholm, our class is the first in sweden to study podiaty,the cours started aug 2006 ands aug 2009.

im here to see haw the podity look like aroound the world.
and i also what to do post-studies ,in GB.

Good morning Twirly and tanks for u'r message, sorry for my english im not so good at it.
We ar few podiaty student, almost 25 students in each class (there ar 3 clases only).

And there ar just 2 Podiatrist in stockholm one from Australia and the other from Spania we have lack off Podiatrist.

Haw is podiatry in u'r contry?

Podiatry in the UK is divided between those working for the National Health Service & those individuals working in private practice.

In the UK the titles Podiatrist & Chiropodist are protected by law & individuals using these titles must be registered with the Health Professions Council.

There are other individuals within the foot health industry who provide a limited service to patients usually utilising the title Foot Health Professional. These practitioners are not governed by the Health Professions Council & therefore are not subject to their rules.

I understand these individuals have their own professional body which is separate from those using the protected titles.

I believe this is similar to the Australian situation where Foot & Hand Carers also provide a limited service to patients.

What is the current situation in Sweden?

I gather from your post that Podiatry is a relatively new educational degree in Sweden.
