Occasionally you come across a real gem and this is one of those . Posted in good faith .

It is a book by Dr. Peter Kahler (1891) entitled Dress and Care of the Feet .

Dr. Kahler was a practitioner and early voice in wanting chiropody to be recognized as a profession, and demanding practitioners be educated (rather than apprentice) to practice . He reinforced the importance of caring for the feet, and considered healthy feet with happiness and the soundness of the whole body, and particularly of the brain and nervous system. This manual consists chiefly of practical suggestions respecting the treatment of diseases and aches of the feet, concerning the care of the feet that will prevent their acquiring diseases and aches, and on the proper construction and form of shoes.

There are older books on chiropody, but not many, and some were plagiarised which only reduces the numbers of original works.
