    Hi,
I am a third year student at Salford University but based in South Cheshire, and just about to enter the big bad world of podiatry practice this summer. I have been reading the forums for a while now so I feel a little rude in not introducting myself before now. :)

LOL , depends if you love diabetology, rheumatology, and everything that isnt biomechanics then youll love Salford. A guy come from queen margeret to Salford in last year and hes done really well, found the transition easy.

Where are you coming from? Theres also a thread on here about choosing Salford against another school I dont have the link though so youll have to search.

    Good luck in your studies

I have enjoyed the course greatly, the staff are great and with salfords proximity to manchester you cannot go wrong on the social side of things! However, the course is obviously geared up to produce future nhs band 5 Podiatrist ( which I guess is what is supposed to do). I think Jon (footfan) is expressing his dissappointment/frustration with the lack of emphasis placed upon biomechanics in contrast to other universities, which I agree with. But overall I think you will enjoy the course like I have, make good friends, and ultimately finish the course with confidence to go out and do it for yourself.
If you need and further advice about the course, feel free to get in touch
