Hi all

Well 2011 finds me out of work after 20 years in the nhs.
Had hand surgery that took me out of my last band 7 diabetic post for 14 mts.
left sep 2010 after loads of crap stuff.
But hey f---- it have started a dom practice in Newcastle UK. Doing routine nail and corns in residential homes and have re discovered the love for generalist podiatry that is still so important to me.
so I will forget TNP and advanced debridement for a while!

Have been an avid reader of podiatry arena and would welcome any advice on building and generating patients in private dom practice, anyone need a hand!!!

Hi,
someone of your experience and ability will not have a problem with buliding up a practice.
Exerience still counts, well at least I think so?

Its just that you have to let people know that you are available.
figure out your referral base GP'S, Allied health professsionals, etc and prehaps send a letter to the parctices in your area with a brief summary of your experience, areas of intrest and how to contact you? if there are any questions?

prehaps give a brief presentation if asked ?
etc
