Foot orthoses and Chronic Venous Insufficiency treatment or prevention ?

    Foot orhoses is useful for treatment or prevention Chronic Venous Insufficiency?
    What the best material? Functional or accomodative?

  2. Hi Michele,

    directly as a mode of treatment - No having a device in you shoe will not help with Venous insufficiency, never going to happen

    But if the patient is suffering from pain which is preventing them from exercising and you fit a device which allows them to exercise - greater muscle use should have some positive effects on Venous insufficiency.

    and all devices are functional if they are soft, hard etc
