Here in America we have thousands of podiatrists, but only one self-proclaimed "America's Podiatrist". In addition, he also calls himself "America's Foot Doctor".

Very interesting website....almost as good as some of Brian Rothbart's web information.

I especially liked the part about him being invited to investigate Big Foot's footprints.

    Enjoy.

  2. In my youth, I used to go out with a sasquatch, she struggled to find a nice pair of stilettos to fit and as a consequence our relationship was doomed to failure. Women in comfortable shoes just don't do it for me. Shame, nice girl, if a little hairy.

Wow. I've literally just developed Diabetes, and therefore will be booking a foot examination with Today's Podiatrist stat.

They know how to market themselves, all the power to them.

10,000 down only 599,990,000 to go!!!

    I wish him luck!

  7. C'mon Guys!

How many of YOU can claim this? Eh?

I'm sure he's doing very well so yes, it IS good marketing. Although I must admit that when people (pods or otherwise) blow their own trumpets that hard it tends to make me run in the opposite direction. But then I'm a cynic.

    That again...

I presume 'America's Podiatrist' has popped this on his website to impress with the public regarding how many feet he has seen (and therefore lead them to conclude that he must be good/know his stuff). I guess I've always been intruiged by those who talk about how many feet they've seen or how many assessments they've done. Seems a strange way to promote/market yourself to me... Like Rob I'm often a smidge uncomfortable with aggressive self trumpet blowing.

Anyway whilst pondering this I looked again at the number. 10,000. Sounds impressive. Or does it? Back in my NHS days a quiet day would be 20 patients. (Someone please correct me if these numbers are now way off). Thats 100 pairs of feet a week. Working on the basis of a 48 week working year, then by my calculations most NHS Podiatrists in the UK will have seen over 10,000 pairs of feet in just over 2 years service.

Does 'America's Podiatrist' only work 1 day a week? ;)

    Hey Ian

Then that's 10,000 feet in one year or 20,000 feet in 2 years. Golly gosh, that's nearly as many feet as Mount Everest!!!

I hereby relinquish my copyright to the above statement. Anybody who wishes to use it for marketing purposes is welcome to do so - 'America's Podiatrist' and anybody who uses the title 'Doctor Professor' or 'Professor Doctor' excepted!

    All the best

    Bill
