MAPS a new method of orthosis production

    I've just come up with a new approach to taking a model of a foot and subsequently manufacturing a foot orthosis. It's called MAPS, which stands for maximum arch pronation stopper. Here's the rough outline: you use a foam impression box to capture the foot in its maximally pronated position. You then make a positive model of this and vac form a thin thermo-plastic shell over it, or mill an orthosis directly from a scan of the negative. You then apply "additions" inside the shell to prevent the foot ever reaching it's maximally pronated position.

    I think its a flyer;):santa::santa2:

  2. I'll have twelve. Any chance you could incorporate some bells and flashing lights for the festive period? Even better - if you can arch fill with some C4-RDX, I'm sure I can sell to some some West Yorkshire frequest flyers. Boom-Boom Orthotics Inc - fixes any foot problems - forever....

  3. I think you are taking the piss out of a serious proposition, Mr Russell ;)

    Isn't it time for you to win quote of the year?

  4. Nah Nah Nah - have so many gongs and ribbons up here that I'm thinking of changing my name to Edward Shavelsbart. Over to you chap....
