    Hi everyone I have joined!

I was wondering if anyone know the different types of functional foot orthoses that are available. I know of Root and I know there is Blake but Does anyone know the others or where to find papers on these?

  2. Hi French and :welcome: to Podiatry area there is probably 100´s of different types of modifications that can be made to a device, which will have different results with patients feet.

ie you can use a blake inverted shell, with a medial skive. Heres 2 papers to get you started, but you will find lots of discussions and papers by reading the threads.

    Goodluck

Hi French, perhaps you could give us a little more background? Are you a Podiatrist or Allied Health Professional?
As Michael has said if you search the threads you will find a never ending list to wade your way through.

    Cheers

Thank you Michael Weber for those papers. I knew of that Blake paper but was struggling to download a full copy so thats of great help.

Heather J Bassett and to introduce myself to others; I am Podiatry student approaching my final year hence why I am trawling anywhere I can to gather information for my dissertation which in on comparing Bespoke and premade foot orthoses. So I would welcome any information or openion on the two. I gather so far that it can be a hotly debated topic.
