Healed metatarsal fracture but keeps swelling

    It has been a week since I was told I can start using crutches to walk again... started using both crutches for couple days then was told to then use only 1 crutch for a few more days all the while to wear supportive shoes which I did. My foot keeps swelling and I've been icing it, elevating it and taking ibuprofen every 6 hours. Is this normal? How long can I expect this to keep occurring? I am going to call my md tomorrow (today is a holiday) and I'm concerned. Think I should be getting...
