    Hello,
I'm new to the forum and new to podiatry. I have done a BA in Architecture and spent a year working in an architects practice. However I didn't particularly enjoy architecture and having taken some time out am considering studying podiatry. I've done a days work experience with a private podiatrist I know who seems to have a busy practice and make a good living from it. However I've also tried to get work experience with other private practices which has proved more difficult. One podiatrist I spoke to said that currently the market for podiatrists in Belfast which is where I am located is totally saturated. I've also heard that it is difficult to get work with the NHS also. I was wondering therefore what peoples opinions are on the job prospects and salary expectations of a private podiatrist in the UK?

    Thanks for your help
    Pete cb
