    Dear All,

For a short while now, I have been taping feet/ankles in order to determine effectiveness of change in kinetics on pathology. I pretty much have no training other than watching a few YOUTUBE videos(the shame)

Should I go on a course to learn how to do it properly?
Am I likely to learn anything new. As I see it, I apply the tape using kinetic/biomechanical principles to alter forces. Do I need to learn specific taping patterns?
If you think it is necessary, can anyone recommend some type of course

    Thanks all

    Robin

For standard/basic taping I can't see that a course would be of much benefit to you squire.

However for some of the more new fangled stuff (e.g. Kinesio tape etc) then it would probably be of use (as the theory is a little different). Physio UK do some of the better courses on it in my opinion. Linky.

    Thanks for this Ian.
I had already looked at this course but I can't make it due to clinical commitments which was a shame as there were a couple of other potentially interesting things in the programme.

    Regards,

    Robin
