Just thought it may be nice to include a little Christmas photo greetings to all of those who visit Podiatry Arena....Merry Christmas from the Kirby Family!

Anyone else (other than Craig and Mimi's cute newborn twin girls) have Christmas photos they want to share?

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

Yours truly, Lucky Lisfranc, had a welcome Christmas present a few days ago when my 2nd son was born. An heir and a spare - as they say.

A product of two podiatrists, he has but no hope; introducing young Hugo...

Congratulations. You are indeed lucky lisfranc. Last night Eleanor (3 months old)woke me at 2am for an hour of yelling and 4 aM for 3/4 of an hour. This morning when i went in at 6 am she gurgled happily and grinned at me and i felt like the happiest and luckiest man alive. :) Life gets no better.
How the hell to you insert an image that's not from the web?

Seems to be the season for tag teams of podiatrists reproducing. Of course there is the Arena'ettes and the little LisFranc, but also Matt and Samantha had a boy on Saturday; Paul and Natalie had one a month or so ago!!!

I was a grandfather (for the third time) three weeks ago. People keep coming up and congratualting me, but I did nothing.

Please note I was a chld bride and hence do not look like a grandfather :).

    Merry Crimble.

Not true. Somebody told me once that grandchildren are Gods reward for not killing your own children when they reach teenage.

Consider myself informed Robertisaacs and thank you.

I meantime, was always under the impression, teenagers were God's way of getting back at you for having sex in the first place!

    Cheers

  14. Here's a picture of the two most important things in the world to me- Alison and Grace.

Merry Christmas to all from Walsall's finest:

Are you hanging up a stocking on your wall?
It's the time that every Santa has a ball
Does he ride a red nosed reindeer?
Does he turn up on his sleigh
Do the fairies keep him sober for a day?

    Chorus:
So here it is merry Christmas
    Everybody's having fun
    Look to the future now
    It's only just begun

Are you waiting for the family to arrive?
Are you sure you got the room to spare inside?
Does your granny always tell ya that the old songs are the best?
Then she's up and rock 'n' rollin' with the rest

    Chorus:
So here it is merry Christmas
    Everybody's having fun
    Look to the future now
    It's only just begun

    What will your daddy do
When he sees your Mama kissin' Santa Claus?
    Ah ah

Are you hanging up a stocking on your wall?
Are you hoping that the snow will start to fall?
Do you ride on down the hillside in a buggy you have made?
When you land upon your head then you've been Slade

    Chorus (4x)
So here it is merry Christmas
    Everybody's having fun
    Look to the future now
    It's only just begun

Nicely done! Grace is growing so fast. Hope she doesn't meet any punk-rockers when she grows up. ;)

You all have a great Christmas!

Just downloaded the tourist publication on Ghent, but will be on tight schedule as have to earn brownie points to get leave from mum and the Arena'ettes - the schedule is not looking good this year with ISB, APodC, PFOLA, SMA....

  22. Thanks for that tourism brochure, Craig. Bart Van Gheluwe and Kerstin Vanstaen promised they would provide us with some of the fine beers from Belgium while we are there. Can't wait!

  23. Kevin and Graig,

Thanks for your promotion campaign about Ghent and our most loved brews.
As they say here “One informed man, is worth two of them”
So I better prepare myself for a workshop on the exquisites of the Belgian art of brewing.

Here an appetizer for a start. The second picture is the Playboys’ favorite

Have a good run into the new year,
    Bart

Ps. I hope the attached picture came through

  24. lost pictures

    Dear all.
As my "beer" pictures did not come through, I try again.
    Regards,
    Bart

Happy christmas everyone and a good inspirational start for the new year.

Hello Kevin and Graig. I know for Kevin it is the first time in Belgium and Graig(??)? When we have some time we can show a bit of Belgium and let you come familiar with the Belgium beers and eating culture (we let Bart brewing, hihi, Bart just teasing). Belgium is quit lovely.

Looking forward to introduce you in the belgium culture, you will both love it, sure of it.

    Bart & Kerstin,

I'm happy to read that you are going to be attending the 15 year lustrum of Podiatry in Flanders... or is it only going to be the social program afterwards ;-)

Kevin and Craig, looking forward to meeting you (again).

Happy Holidays to all. Every year I make our Christmas card. This year it was to the theme of the movie "A Christmas Story".

    Hi Kevin and Craig,

As for Ghent, I’ll be happy to show you guys around. As a born and bred “Ghenteneer” I know a few lovely places to enjoy and experience the wonderful ‘impact” of Belgian beers.

It would be great if our friends from Brussels could join us. As we all know, Kerstin can take a few beers … Can’t she …

Cheers guys and see you in Ghent,

All the best for 2007 !!!!

    Joris

hey kev and Jor, I go for the whole program but I think I will pass the beer, I go for the culture thing (wink).

Craig first time to Belgium? small country but crowdy, lots to do and see, so take some time. Just to inform, it can be very cold even in march, like freesy cold (15°C wink²). So be prepared.

    best regards,
    kerstin

I know, from recent experience, that you and Bart don't mind your nice wines also. However, I don't mind the cold that Belgium offers in March. Belgium must be warmer than Chicago was for the PFOLA conference. Speaking of the PFOLA conference, I know that the Aussie, Josh Burns was excited to see snow, versus hot sun, for December weather. I don't think I would adapt very well to a hot, sunny Christmas. It should be snowing at Christmas....not air conditioner weather!!

    Hallo Kevin,

I go for the good wine, it will be not from Belgium, we have some, but not such a good quality but doesn't matter the environment will be typical.
For me too Xmas must be cold and freesy and singing songs like "dreaming of a white white christmas". So conclusion "aussies are strange people" they really sing that song too in the middle of the summer! So a santa claus with bathing trunks. Funny.
And Yes, Belgium is warmer than chicago in general, so in march it will be much beter than it was on the PFOLA meeting. So normally YOU don't need gloves and a cap(wink).

    best regards,
    Kerstin
