Hello: I am new to posting on a forum. Sorry if I have a learning curve, I will do my best. I have been searching for information as my Grandson has been diagnosed with Severe Sub-Talar Collapse in R & L feet. He is currently 20mths old and just starting to walk. I am very worried about him. He has very recently been prescribed and is wearing plastic orthotics that cover his whole foot and ankle except for the top of his toes. He has been referred to an orthopedic surgeon...no appointment as yet is scheduled. I have noticed that if my Grandson does any significant walking barefoot that his feet feel feverish. If anyone can help with information or experience that would be so very helpful. Blessings, Dianne Marie

Hi Dianne, welcome, I can feel your love and concern for your grandson.
Are you a podiatrist? What is your area of expertise?
It is good that he has been assessed and a treatment plan put into place.

    Kind regards

Hi Heather, I am not a podiatrist I have a background in social work. However, I am just a Grandma to 4 beautiful children. I have been searching for information to understand this condition and came across this forum. Hopefully it is ok that I landed here to ask questions. Thank you for your kind response and if you can help me expand on my knowledge of this condition that would be very helpful.
