Just wanted to share for anyone who hasn't 'discovered' Coursera. Its a website including many major Universities offering free short courses. I was a bit sceptical to start with but have just completed the Nutrition and Life Style course with Vanderbilt University and have to say the quality and content was absolutly brilliant. Quite frankly far better than the content and teaching I've recently had on a well known UK Masters degree course - and it was FREE!

Learnt absolutely loads on the nutrition course, some very useful information to share with patients and some of it very interesting for personal reference. It's interactive, you have to pass weekly quizzes and assignments to get your certificate!

Hope it's of use to others.

Interesting and thanks for sharing! Out of curiosity was it a MOOC (massive open online course)?

I've always used the app on my iPad rather than go to the site. Between that and the TEDtalks app there is no such thing as a boring train journey anymore.

  5. Love the TED talks, but train journeys are still cack if you are travelling from Plymouth to, let's face it, anywhere.
