Looking for advise and I'm hoping this is the right forum for it.
48 year old male with Hallux Rigidus in both 1st toes.
This stems from playing squash and soccer (indoor and out) most of my life. I've capitulated on the soccer as walking is unbearable afterwards. However I'm not ready to give up the squash as this is still my main source of exercise 3-4 times a week.
My ortho surgeon is suggesting fusions however I found a podiatrist that will do cartiva implants. Anyone gone the Cartiva route? I hear the success rate isn't great and it's very costly compared to fusion. Looking for advise please. Thank you
