    Hi
Just filling out my registration for NDIS in Australia and a bit concerned if clinical podiatry is actually covered.
On registering you have to select the "clusters" that you wish to be under. The only 3 that seem to be podiatry related are-
    Therapeutic supports
    Personal mobility
    and Assistive technology

All 3 relate to orthotics and shoes but nothing about the need of continuing general podiatry care. On phoning them they could not answer my concerns. All other professions list that they will provide "physiotherapy" "occupational therapy" "exercise physiology" etc. But the podiatry explanation states "Assessment and selection of adapted foot ware or therapy related to foot ankle or leg impairments"

Also when listing the supply of orthotics the guidelines say that they can be supplied by physiotherapist, orthotists and by podiatrist, but must be registered by the physiotherapy board.......Who wrote these guidelines???

Have they not looked at continuing care of podiatry for the disabled or am I missing something?

Can some one let me know how they are addressing this problem?
    Thanks
