  4. Now that I have totally converted to barefoot running and have heard the latest fascinating news that running in shoes causes me to unnaturally heel strike, increasing my impact peak force and increasing my chance of getting a multitude of foot and lower extremity injuries, anyone can see that these people in the interview are really missing the boat. They should get rid of the Ugg-imitations, get rid of the 4" spike heels, and get rid of, in fact, all shoes and start to walk like our ancestors did since they never got plantar fasciitis and osteoarthritis!! We should all walk naturally.....barefoot of course.

First we had the barefoot running revolution....next we will have the barefoot walking revolution. But in the barefoot walking revolution, as opposed to the barefoot running revolution, we will all be allowed to heel strike since this is natural whereas if you heel strike in running since this is unnatural and you will damage your body and develop so many injuries you will probably never even be able to run at all!!:wacko::bang:

Just thought I would highlight, with tongue firmly planted in cheek, the ridiculous culture and philosophy of many within the barefoot running community. My point is that the walking community seems to function quite well heel-striking in a wide variety of shoe designs that are by far more dissimilar in design than todays current "minimalist" vs standard running shoe designs. When will this nonsense stop!?
