Hello everyone I wander if anyone could help. I had an elderly gentleman ring me saying that he had been diagnosed with Tendinitis tunnel syndrome at a local podiatry clinic. They had told him that there was no treatment they could give him. This condition gave him quite a lot of pain and he could not believe there was no treatment. I said I would look into it for him and see what I could do. Are there any excercises he could do, as there are for Planter Fasciitis e.t.c eg picking up a towel with your toes.
I look forward to hearing from you all
    thankyou

There's no such thing as tendinitis tunnel syndrome.

Thankyou I thought so, he must have got the wrong end of the stick I wandered why I had not heard of it thought I was going mad! It must just be Tendinitis then what would be a good treatment or excercise regime ?

    I think there is a nomenclature/communication breakdown.

I think the diagnosis is probably tarsal tunnel syndrome.

Sometimes worth some mechanical therapy or immobilisation initially, but ultimately the patient will probably need a surgical release of the posterior tibial nerve and its branches.
