Do they discuss the doping programs they are currently using , might make it easier to give an opinion

 

I'm no expert on athletics but it all seems a little pointless to me (except for the charity which is great). Two top athletes but physically entirely different and trained for different distances. Either would be beaten by a top middle distance runner.

Due to more attuned speed endurance ability of Mo Farah (i.e. nature of his training & his finishing kick) I would say Farah should pass Bolt over the closing stages of the 600m. Believe me, the last 150m of a race can feel a long way when one is already in oxygen depth - particularly when one isn't attuned to such a state (as Bolt - whilst Farah's training invokes this state constantly).

That said, I'll be surprised if the race wasn't very close.

A similar scenario was on the web a few months ago - that time it was between Bolt & David Rudisha (800m world record holder) over 600m (I think). It didn't eventuate (although Rudisha is recovering form injury). As interesting as these match-ups would be (even in theory), I can't see them eventuating in real life.
