Hi all. About 4 weeks ago I had a partial nail avulsion on both sides of my big toe. Phenol was then applied to the matrix. About 2 weeks ago I noticed that part of the nail had broken just above the cuticle. Leaving a sort of hole. As of now the nail doesn’t seem to be growing back properly. Is it likely that the nail broke in surgery and Phenol was applied? Or more likely I broke it after the surgery and it takes a while to grow as a a normal nail. Thank you
