The clinic I work at has recently purchased a neurothesiometer but we are struggling to obtain figures on what would be considered normal and what would value would be indicative of pathology? The instructions that come with the device are extremely limited so I was hoping there might be someone else out there who uses one already and might be able to shed some light on it for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

 

Hi Podiatrist 100. Readings up to 17 are considered normal. 17 - 24 suspect neuropathy if other signs are present such as dysthesia. 25+ definitely neuropathic.

Can you please give me a reference to find out how is the Readings up to 17 are considered normal. 17 - 24 suspect neuropathy. 25+ definitely neuropathic.
I would like to know how was the normal values obtained?
May I also know if this instrument operates at a fixed frequency or has a range of frequency to be fixed? if so what is the frequency.
