Hi! I am a physio in private practice , Denmark. At the moment doing a post grad MSc - looking at fascitis plantaris, stretching and ultrasound sonography.

Looking for a manual for the Foot Function Index. I have the index but have difficulty in finding a manual for how to score and when the score is clinically significant.

    Any ideas - much appreciated.

nice to see a scandinavian here for once, I know you dont have podiatry in denmark at the moment but I think there is plans to start a university course.

    Hi Bjørn!
Thanks, no I do mean the Foot Function Index. I do have the FPI-6 which works great.

I am a physiotherapist in private practice and we have no podiatrists as such. I am not sure if we will one day. As it is today we "share " the feet between us which works quite well.

Physiotherapists are doing inlays and running style analysis, rehab and managing the simple problems. The complicated ones are referred on to the orthopaedic specialists.

Then we have a group called "feet therapists" who do the nails, callus and so on.

We also have all the guys you know from the swedish system "ortropaedinginör" or in english Bachelor of Science in in Prothesics and Orthotics.

So I think podiatry as such is covered in general - at least in my area we refer to one another depending on the problem.

TOugh luck against Portugal the other day:bang:

:welcome: perhaps try posting your query in another forum? Biomch.
Not everyone reads the introductions so questions often recieve more replies elsewhere.

Also you can use the search tags for future reference.

    Cheers
