    I am now a Podiatrist in Ireland having spent 22 years nursing in intensive care. I transfered to diabetes unit and completed a diploma in diabetes went back to University and completed a degree in Podiatric medicine in 03 and now have my own private practise and have clinics at 3 local hospitals

    I do feel proud of myself and am delighted that I made the change as I love my new career and love the one to one interaction with the patients where together we can chat and plan their treatments whereas while nursing it was the Dr who made diagnosis and planned treatments and nurses carried out instructions.
