    Craig,

Thank you for highlighting this for the profession; It has been an awful way to start the year for all of Chloe's family, friends, co-workers and patients, and I think about her every day, but it needs to be brought into public attention for people to see the toll that careers can take on one another.

Chloe was one of the most diligent students in our year, constantly encouraging and helping her fellow classmates when in need, and seeking the best from our university. She frequently made us laugh in & outside of class with her quick wit and humorous observations, making her quite a character & a friend to all, but it was also her passion for life that made Chloe special. Chloe was a great Podiatrist, and would always look further to know more, so as to help her patients as best she could. For Chloe, Podiatry was good, but it was not enough - she wanted more knowledge and more ways to help others, and she sure as heck was talented enough to do so! Medicine allowed her to expand her knowledge further, and gave her the capacity to touch the lives of so many people, but Medicine puts itself first, not its advocates. Chloe became a forceful advocate in the Intern Crisis campaign, and her persistence made waves.

I am so fortunate to have been able to learn from Chloe and have had numerous episodes of laughing til we cried. I will always consider her one of the most brilliant, strong-minded people I've been able to know and love, and her sporting and academic achievements coupled with her determination in fighting for the rights of all will continue to inspire me.

Please don't wait for your friends or loved ones to make the first step of asking you for help. Ask them. Talk to them.

    Elly
