I tried stretching for 2 months of therapy without any help at all. I also have injured nerves on the bottom of my feet which spread upwards thru my legs. No diabetic at all. Tested for sugar and all. No genetic traits in my family. Have small fiber neuropathy SFN now. I can only assume that this squired neuropathy was due to the nerve damage on my feet while in basic training 55 years ago. Then 20 years ago, the pain became chronic and started moving up into the calves of my legs. Lots of pain. On tramadol and gabapentin. Specialists don't seem to know much about this type of neuropathy. I had a test with samples from my leg that showed severe nerve damage on the outer skin layer. Normal nerve count should be 5 to 8 and my showed a count of 0.8 Not sure what this exactly means but the damage is quite bad as I read this to be. This is effectively a disease and spreads slowly. Some neurologists don't think that my SFN comes from the damage nerves in the feet but is seems quite obvious to me how the problem progressed. Neurologists are only partially eductated on these nerve problems. Some just have opinions.
