    Hello to everyone,

I'm a chiropodist practicing in Bermuda and have just had a patient asking me about having his onychomycotic nails treated by the Pinpointe Foot Laser system in the US. I'm not an expert on this and started doing a lit search on the topic to form an opinion. I understand roughly how it works but would like to find research-based evidence. Clinicaltrials.gov shows they have completed a multisite randomized trial in 2010 in the US/Canada - is the paper out yet(haven't had any luck finding it)? Any recommended articles (hopefully peer-reviewed) on the topic?

I appreciate any help! Thanks in advance

    hi lizleanne,
is your patient that affected by mycotic nails that he/she is willing to travel to teh U.S just to get treatment for mycotic nails?
Surely there would be treatments (not nearly as costly as going over there!) in Bermuda?
    Regards

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply Andersonkchan. It is not uncommon for people in Bermuda to go to the US for medical treatment. People travel quite a bit and we're only an hour away by flight. Any information related to my question though?

    Hi Lizleanne,
    I apologise for my ignorance.
I just looked up Bermuda - didn't even know it was that close to the US!
Will certainly wait here for info to your question. :)
