    Dear all.

I had a patient who stubbed her right 5 dorsal 2 months ago. It was a typical wound when i firt saw it with complication of pus drainage. I suspected bacterial involevement so i advised for dressings with fucidin and dry dressing for a weeks time.It improves within a week but then she stubbed it again. Since then she produced scaly skin around the lesion and erythyma. It looks now like eczema. She came again now after 2 months and tells me she had atopic allergic dermatitis...I told her to moisturise the area with moisturising cream..Would you also suggest corticosteroidal cream?Do you have any suggestions?Any specific creams?
    Your helo will be appreciated
    Many thanks

Could this be the koebner phenomenon? Does/could she have psoriasis????

good thought, but clinical appearance doesn't look like koebner..don;t think she has produced something like that..i insist on dermatitis

Could it be that she wore a sock that was cheap and full of dye or "the wrong material" on the open wound?
