I have been having foot pain and burning on the soles of both feet for almost seven years. I've seen to DPMs and was told I had plantar fasciitis. ...

In my experience, chronic Tarsal Tunnel syndrome (and yes, 7 years qualifies you) does not respond well to conservative treatment. Of course, this doesn't mean it should not be attempted.

Tarsal Tunnel is often mis-diagnosed as Plantar fasciitis.

If all else fails, a tarsal tunnel release with or without fascia release is fairly successful, just be sure your surgeon has experience with the procedure.

    Good Luck.
