And here are the boots you need to wear with the devices. Works fine as long as you keep wearing the braces for nail reverts to its growing position following removal. Did it say that in the patent application, perchance?

Wow - a bilateral partial nail avulsion in the hands of an experienced Podiatrist is surely easier than this medievil torture device! Both would require a local anyhow....

No. It's a legitimate patent that the inventer would have spent a lot of $ on

not the oddest patent I've ever seen... but not the most convincing either.

Apparently the apparatus is adhered to the nail using double sided sticky tape.

Apparently the nail stays in position because a reagent is used which is otherwise used in hair curling on the basis that hair and nail are of similar composition. So there Mr Russell, oh ye of little faith (but much experience), he's all OVER that one.

Still, it could be Soooo much worse...

Thanks for reminding me why I never perform a Vandenblos procedure on anyone other than traffic wardens and bankers.

Umm yes.....right.....ok......double sides sticky tape? A reagent? and a curling wand? So THATS where I have been going wrong all these years!!!!!

No seriously.....why the hell would you even attempt that! The mind boggles. Im still trying to work out why they start with the perfectly good side of the digit? I suppose as to make them appear symmetrical - because lets face it who would just one side of your toe butchered beyond all belief looking like leftover Christmas ham off the bone!

    Very avant guarde I'd say!
