podiatric surgery training

    hi i was wondering if it is possible to do your surgical training in canada after doing your degree in the uk?
    also if it is possible how do you go about it as i cant really find anything online (maybe im being a bit dim lol)

    Also this is my first post so high to everyone on the forum

    Hello and Welcome!

    In Ontario you are not allowed to do bone surgery. About soft tissue surgery, you can contact the Michener Institute in Toronto ( the only English-speaking program) but I believe you have that already. In Quebec they have a DPM program, but the program is done in French and I think it is linked to a university in New York, USA (the last years -2? and the residency?). Sorry I cannot help you more...

    No! The only surgical residencies I believe are in Alberta and for US DPMs only:boohoo:
