    SENIOR / PODIATRIST

    Responsibilities:
    You will assess, diagnose and implement treatment for a range of problems related to the foot and lower limbs in the primary care setting. Using your specialist skills, you will treat a broad spectrum of patients ranging from low risk foot conditions such as corns, calluses and pathological nail conditions, musculoskeletal cases to high-risk diabetic foot ulcers. You will also be involved in the prescription of custom made foot orthoses. In addition, you will educate patients and family members or caregivers on preventive foot care and continued treatment of disorders and conduct talks relating to foot care. You can also expect to contribute towards continuous quality improvement in the department and provide guidance to trainees and students.

    Requirements:
    • Bachelor Degree in Podiatry from a recognized university.
    • Registration with the relevant governing body of that profession, if applicable.
    • Ability to work independently in a challenging environment and with the multi-disciplinary team.
    • Ability to demonstrate and articulate sound clinical knowledge and reasoning, critical thinking, judgment and decision making in the provision of care.
    • Willingness to work at a different polyclinic location from time to time.
    • Patient focused and a genuine desire to make a difference.
    • A passion in building a healthcare career with inspiration to move ahead despite challenges, and the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
