I am just wanting to put some feelers out to fill my Maternity position at Grafton Podiatry Centre. Below is the advertisement we currently have around the place; however my two cents are:

The climate here is great, there are great beaches close by, Brisbane is not far, or the Gold Coast or Byron Bay.
As for the job, it is great! There is a supportive environment to enable you to develop your budding skills in all areas of Podiatry. We have a wide range of clients which we see. Personally, in the past year, I have even picked up two cases of Acute Charcot. Your new boss is also very nice and easy to approach. There is the opportunity to have some CPD in paid time and other attractive incentives. I will be around still to offer some mentoring, but the other Podiatrist, is also CSU Alumni , and she is an especially gifted practitioner, in my opinion and she is also willing to offer mentoring.
We are a very busy and well respected clinic in the area and have a wonderful working relationship with many allied health and medical professionals in the area. We also get a boot maker use our premises every few weeks, and this is a valuable service for many Enable NSW applications and DVA clients.
International applicants and new graduates or experienced practitioners are all welcome; the patients here love to meet all kinds of people if you have the right attitude :)
The dates given for the maternity position are an estimation. I have actually not confirmed when I will return to work, and when I do, I am likely to only want 1-2 days per week maximum, as my family are not in the area. I am beginning my leave in early December, so work may be begun as early as December 7th. The hours I do are 8am-5pm and we get an hour for lunch. I begin half an hour early (as normal hours would be 8:30am - 5pm) so that I collect some TIL to have an RDO every month, which is very handy for appointments and long weekends away to many of the lovely holiday destinations we have at our fingertips!

Feel free to send me an email on optimusjosie@gmail.com to ask any more specific questions.

    POSITION VACANT - PODIATRIST
GRAFTON (NSW) ? Maternity leave position ? likely to extend to full time permanent position.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly podiatrist to join our busy well-established practice full time podiatrist to begin work early December 2015 up until the end of April 2016. New graduates welcome to apply. (for a Dec / Jan start date). A full time position is likely to be available at the end of the maternity leave position due to patient demand.
The practice currently has 2 full time and 1 part time podiatrist, has full reception / sterilisation support, is computerised and covers a wide range of services, treatment rooms are airy, roomy and air conditioned.
We service the local Aboriginal multidisciplinary clinic, a few nursing homes, provide home visits but predominantly work within the office (GT?s, biomechanics, nail surgery, diabetic foot care and ulcer management)
Grafton is located on the north coast of New South Wales ? Australia; situated on the Clarence River (many watersports); within 40 minutes drive to several beaches (up & down the coast with some of the best surfing beaches available); approx 2.5-3hr drive to Gold Coast, 3.5 hour drive north to Brisbane and our climate is very temperate.
