Always nice to see the professional public image of podiatry raised yet another notch by companies such as this

Special offer at christmastime, a sprig of holly between the toes just to complete the Tx perhaps

Any self respecting podiatrist would surly never be seen dead working there ????

    Cheers

    DTT,
The times when I agree with you on this site can be counted on the fingers of one hand.
However, this is one time that I do, and I agree that this does absolutely nothing for the image of Chiropody/Podiatry.

    regards

    All,
I think the reason they are moving into garden centres is because Shuropody know what our patients have known all along - that corns have roots !

From a purely business point of view this is a shrewd move. Tapping into the retired affluent garden centre goers whilst taking advantage of lower rents (compared to Town Centres). However would patients attend regularly? Would you go there for Nail Surgery or for Biomechanics? They will probably have a lot of one-off appointments as patients have something 'looked at' whilst buying their compost.

Whatever next? Podiatry in the Supermarket? "You'll find the Podiatrist in aisle 12 next to the Corn Flakes!"

I think you will find supermarkets have for some time had podiatry available in the stores for public use , the links are here somewhere ( ? Admin) .
Shrewd it may be but to improve public perception of this profession it most definately is not IMO.

Wonder if they will pot any nice 'grow your own fungus' up for customers?
