I may possibly be suffering from Carpal Tunnel, I am suffering in both hands, although my right is worse. Has anyone had it before? If so how did they have it treated and did it affect your work after you had it done. Im a little worried that if i leave it I may not be able to carry on and if treated I may still have problems.

    Any oppinions welcome

    Hi Paul,

I'm pretty certain you have already searched online.

    The following may be useful.

The most important first action (in my opinion would be see your GP).

Given the nature of our work I would imagine many Pods' are at risk of developing complaints such as this.

With many health complaints I think there is a real risk of 'inappropriate' self diagnosis when your GP should be your 1st port of call before things become worse.

Good luck, I hope you get it sorted. :empathy:

I thought I was developing it at one point. There were several activities that seem to make it worse. One was working a mouse with my wrist at the edge of the table. Another was prounounced flexion of the wrist. I just made sure that I adjusted things so that I did not have to do either. Interestingling, I noted that I was sleeping with my wrist flexed and when I did it seemed to be worse in the morning. Perhaps a wrist brace that keeps your wrist out of flexion. Just some thoughts. As was mentioned above a proper diagnosis is a good idea.
