"Real" running shoes from Vibram?

An empty vessel makes more sound

It has certainly taken you a long time to learn.
I have not once had a patient come in wanting advice on what shoes to wear to help them enjoy running more apart from if they have pain...

If a runner had access to the sort of terrain that you do, then running on that would be much more enjoyable than running on tarmac irrespective of footwear.

Fine if you are taking the risk yourself. How long would that attitude to advice last in a litigious society like the USA?

Was posterior compartment - we should start a discussion about "anterior compartment syndromes though that reminds me ;) I don't disagree about the over striding to a large extent but I find the evidence irrefutable that it started soon after she switched from ASICS 1170's to vibrams because her "fitness coach" said running barefoot was a "much better idea" and would help her run faster with less injuries....

That worked! I asked her if I should send the bill to the fitness coach!

Unless you have innovations or an opposing point of view from those of us who post most often and wish to control the science.

  5. Simple misunderstanding, easy solved.

If you look carefully, blinda was talking about people who treat PATHOLOGY.

As opposed to giving everyone an orthotic depending on what type of foot genetics gifted them with in an attempt to return them to an arbitrary and purely fictional "normal".

    That's an entirely different process.

That may be the cause of the dissonance.

    Indeed.

Dennis, if you`re going to quote me, please have the courtesy to do so within context.

BTW, I`m still waiting for you to answer my questions relating to nail dystrophy. It`s not about control. I`m here to learn, just like you.

Bel: I'm waiting for answers as well not that that precludes you from getting a just reply

    1. If tissue stress depends on a complaint, pain, deformity or degeneration in order to be used, why does everyone state that they practice interventional biomechanics? If they do, what is their method?
    2. List the evidence that has surfaced in the last three years that has actual clinical applicability, relevance and usefulness.
    3. If subtalar joint axis is not being measured and only eyeballed or approximated in your clinical lives, how can you demand exactness of others values and measurements?
    4. If a biomechanical complaint exists in the forefoot vault, why would you correct it utilizing rearfoot vault ORF's?
    5. If the biological system can input force and structure into a mechanical equation by changing structure and exerting Muscle Engine Reactive Forces, how can you be so demanding that newtonian physics that deals with inanimate masses can be directly applied to those biological systems?

"How so?" - By reading and trying to understand the post within the context of the discussion, and not misinterpreting it to suit your own agenda.

Dennis, I still do not understand why you insist that you can only respond privately to my very straight forward questions. Please explain publicly (on the nail dystrophy thread not by PM,) why this is so. Your previous PM made no sense to me, as I told you previously.

    So, what`s holding you back?

Really Dennis, there is no need to be callow.

May I remind you of what I said in the above post on 03/04/12. It still applies; I have no intention of discussing your idea of biomechanics or your Foot Typing System.

    However, you stated quite clearly that you would answer my questions, here;

Dennis, I don`t like diverting the subject, so please be so kind as to reply in the nail pathology thread.
