    Purpose of Position
    The role of podiatrist in this facility is to clinically manage patients and provide clinical support to the Podiatry Manager; supervision of students attending placement; involvement in clinical research; education of various health professional groups; contribute to the development and review of departmental policies & procedures.

    North Shore Ryde Health Service is seeking to employ a Level 1/2 permanent part-time Podiatrist 0.84 FTE.

    The successful applicant will be working mainly at Royal North Shore Hospital within the Podiatry Department.

    Royal North Shore Hospital is a large tertiary referral hospital situated on the lower north shore of Sydney. The hospital is currently undergoing a billion dollar redevelopment and the podiatry department is purpose built within the Ambulatory Care Centre.

    The department works in collaboration with the High Risk Foot Clinic, Rheumatology, Endocrine, Dermatology and Rehabilitative Medicine. Podiatrists working within the department cover the outpatient department, inpatient wards, and the emergency department.

    The department has bariatric chairs, low frequency ultrasound debridement machine, and automated ABPI/TBPI machines.

    This position would be suitable for a podiatrist with an interest in hospital-based practice who wishes to gain experience across a wide range of clinical areas. All podiatrists in the service have clinical supervision sessions and continuing education focused upon their identified area of interest and need.

    Note that employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing.

    1. Current registration with Podiatry Board of Australia

    2. Demonstrated skills in professional clinical practice including the application of evidence based practice in Podiatry

    3. Demonstrated ability in reflective practice

    4. Demonstrated high level of communication, conflict resolution and negotiation skills

    5. Demonstrated experience working within the multi-disciplinary team environment

    6. Demonstrated knowledge in managing at risk and high risk patients

    7. Demonstrated experience delivering health promotion programs

    8. Demonstrated computer literacy
