    Hi Jude,
I have used the company detailed below for a number of years. They are very reliable & complete all my annual autoclave testing etc. Last test cost was £135.00

I haven't found a Podiatry supplier whose charges are as reasonable. This company also provide autoclave testing for a number of my colleagues locally.

    I hope this is helpful.

    Any time Jude,

They also provide leasing contracts for anyone not wanting to purchase an autoclave. Given the price of some of the newer models advertised I think this is certainly an option worth consideration.

    Hi Jude and Twirly

We had our autoclave serviced today by a one man band service, sales and repair business called A.F.D Autoclaves - Allan Daisley.

He came recommended by the company Jude has used in her quotes.

He charges £70 per call out - today this included service and validation. I had to pay an extra £10 for the new door seal. Had I purchased a new seal myself it would have cost me double this and a bit extra then I'd have had to fit it myself.

If I continue to use Mr Daisley then call outs to breakdowns will cost me £70 plus parts. He does not offer a contact as such. I have no idea how quickly he will respond to breakdowns etc.

One thing he did tell me was he is almost at the point of being ready to fit data loggers to any machines that do not have the capibility for fitting a manufacturers printer or data logger perhaps forcing the purchase of a new machine. He estimates the cost of this data logger to be £300 fitted and ready to use.

    His telephone is 01524 752056/ 07710914238

    www.afdautoclaves.co.uk

Mr Daisley is based near Lancaster covers a wide area and if he can't help he has a wide network of colleagues who can.
