Sharp pain in toes when walking

    I have a sharp pain in my middle toe when walking on hard surfaces barefoot. I am 33 and pretty active, I try to run and jump rope about 4 days a week and play basketball 1 day a week. This pain in my foot came on all of the sudden about two weeks ago the next day after getting in a good workout of jump roping and running. Never felt this before in my life.

    I am planing on taking a trip to the podiatrist soon and would like to have as much knowledge as I can.
