    Hi There,

im relatively new to this but am finding out loads from reading all these threads and posts that I thought I'd post my own.

I am currently about to undertake a clinical audit following recent introduction of using the SOAP documentation protocol in our department.

I am wondering if anyone can help me find articles supporting and explaining the rationale for utilising SOAP format.

    Thanks in advance

    Janine

SOAP is the basis in the training of SMAE Institute FHP's, although I hardly dare mention those three letters for fear of the back lash they usually create!!!

As far as I know we all use SOAP to great effect, supported by more in depth med histories etc.

I know a lot of Osteopaths use a similar format.

    Best wishes with your research.
