I am also in the process of info / quote gathering.
My autoclave technician has recommended the melag sv over the s. in my understanding the sv is the newer technology putting the cycle through a vacuum rather than the older technology melag s which sterilizers via downward displacement . His argument is that with changes occurring with sterilization we may find over time that the "S" will become non compliant . However saying that , the companies that are selling the autoclaves have all tried to sell me the slightly cheaper "s" over the "sv" .Arent sales people supposed to steer you towards spending more money ??? So this is when my sceptical side arises !!
As for your quotes julz , I did come across slightly cheaper quotes than that , but not much .. I also have had more expensive ones as well .. Maybe we should gather more pods requiring autoclaves and hit them up or a good deal !
