    I haven't tried a pair myself

Almost all the reviews and comments in social media that I have seen on these shoes have been very positive by those who have actually tried the shoe

Most of the comments in social media by those who have NOT run in these shoes are generally negative! ... typically comments about the overuse of technology when the trend was allegedly going the other way.

I just been doing a bit of analysis on this. I assume Asics would be happy with the outcome. Attached below are 3 images:

    1) The number monthly searches in Google for different running shoe brands that I blogged about here: http://www.runresearchjunkie.com/search-engine-popularity-of-running-shoes-2015-update/

    2) The current search volume for "metarun" and "asics metarun" - they stack up pretty well to what I reported above

    3) the google trends graph for the searches for "asics metarun"

For a shoe that is supposed to be withdrawn from sale, its still on sale on the US Asics site, but not the Australian one. I did notice that almost all the reviews of the shoe on both the US ad Australian sites were 5 stars!

My understanding is the midsole of the metarun was more or less a testing of the waters so it can start its move across into the Kayano for next year.
