  2. For those interested, here is a clean pdf copy of my article just published in the October 2015 issue of Podiatry Today magazine, "Can Foot Orthoses Have An Impact for Knee Osteoarthritis?

Thank you, Dr. Kirby, this article and the drawings were very helpful as an 'emergency orthotic aid' to one of our store's visitors, whose chief complaint was 24/7 pain in her peroneal muscles (apart from a periodic pain on the inner side of the knee she developed recently). I sent the article link to her technician husband who glued makeshift lateral wedges to her over-the-counter insoles. According to her, that constant pain in her peroneals almost completely disappeared that very evening, medial knee pain subsided in approximately a week or so. (She probably developed these two conditions after reportedly having spent one and a half happy years in her favourite, incredibly comfortable prefabricated insoles with relatively high arch support. Now she has switched to the lowest possible arch support.) All in all, this is not a sophisticated anecdote, but in the retail settings we haven't others.
