Toddler's toenail falling off

I noticed some reddening around the cuticle of my almost 2 year old daughter's toenail (right foot, big toe) a few weeks ago. I asked her if it hurt and she said no. Everyday. I kept watching it, the redness did not spread, and she had no complaints. About a week ago, I was clipping her toenails, and noticed the left side of the nail appeared to be "raised" a bit, as if she'd caught it on something. Again, wasn't bothering her. Well after her bath yesterday, I noticed the nail is coming off...
